Position of Chip Antenna as agains nRTF24AP2

Hello,

In our prototype (Embedded System) we want to use nRTF24AP2 with Chip Antenna, as W3006, for example. Our questions are: where and how needs to be placed the Chip Antenna, on PCB, as against nRTF24AP2 ? What is the value of this distance ? What are conditions for traces between nRTF24AP2 and Chip Antenna ? We know that is necessary for an area of 11.6mmx6.0mm, around and under Chip Antenna, without any parts, cooper plane, traces, for all layers.

Each Chip Antenna will have its own guidelines for how is should be placed on the PCB, with specific ground clearances. This is something that is proprietary to the Chip Antenna not to the Nordic IC.

The trace between the chip antenna and the IC must be set to 50Ohms. This can be done using any of the several trace impedance calculators available online. You just need to select your PCB dimensions and your RF trace type; Microstripe, Co-planar w/ Ground (most common), Co-planar without Ground ...etc
