General question on nRF52810

Hello, I wanted to know do this chip (nRF52810) has both tag (beacon) and receiver function? If cannot is there any other Bluetooth chip suggestion?  My main idea is to use this chip as a beacon and receiver which will be installed into a watch so that anyone who walks passes me provided that they have the same watch will be recorded (general information) in both watches so that if that person had covid then the data stored in his/her watch will be collected in order to track whoever had been in close contact with that person. This is the general idea for the use of that chip. Hope, there is someone that can solve my problem.

As awneil says, please specify what you mean to do with this receiver function. Using an nRF52810 as both receiver and beacon (in the same application code) will likely not be possible due to the limited RAM and Flash memory in the nRF52810. The nRF52810 is best suited for simple peripheral application.

Please check out the nRF52832 SoC, as I think that would be better suited to the application you are describing.

My receiver function is used for detecting other BLE watches for instance (Lee's watch) so that my receiver can record Lee's information to my watch and at the same time (Lee's watch) will do the same thing. So that both of them know that there had been in contact with each other if either one of them had covid.

I see. I don't think this will be feasible with the limited memory on the nRF52811, so the nRF52832 or nRF52833 will likely be the SoC to go for in such an application. As for the application itself, you should be aware that COVID tracing using BLE is not entirely straight-forward as there are some privacy concerns to have in mind, etc. This article, and multiple others like it are easily available online.

Just to clarify means that I can either use  nRF52832 or nRF52833 for my Bluetooth chip and I only need to install 1 Bluetooth chip into each watch which will act as both beacon and receiver right? Sorry for asking the same question again.

Yes, that should do, the nRF52832/833 are both able to act as central and peripheral.
