nrf51822 bluetooth communication

I am totally new to nrf and just started with nrf52840. I've gone through certain tutorials available on youtube and some other on internet.

I've installed Segger embedded studio and also the nrf5sdk.

What I am trying to do as a basic example is setting one board as master and another is slave. Pressing one button at one side and blinking LED at another.

I tried running the ble central and ble peripheral examples on two boards but couldn't get through the connection between them.

I appreciate any help. Thank in advance.

Do you have any experience with any other microcontroller(s)? Or with programming in general?

I wouldn't recommend nRF - or any other similar SoC - as a starting point with no prior experience.

Which examples, and on which boards ?

(Actually on thread title I did a mistake as I was working with nrf1822 chip but now moved onto 52840 but guidence regarding anything would be very helpful to me

Examples from nrf sdk like ble_app_blinky.

I learned from youtube about how to used the microcontroller part like reading from button set/clear a LED etc.
