nRF5340 IC revision

Hi,

Is it possible to order nRF5340 QKAAD0? This one is on DK and the last IC version? As I can see, your distributors e.g. Mouser only have nRF5340-QKAA-AB0-R/R7 but this is not "engineering D" or last version of IC ?
I already bought your PDK but it seems that Thread and Zigbee are not supported. Is it supported on IC versions nRF5340-QKAA-AB0-R/R7 which are available at your distributors, and if not, when the stable IC version will be available at your distributors?

I am working on prototype which will be in production and assembly next year but I am afraid that we will order wrong part number which will not support Thread/Zigbee and other features.
Please tell me more about this revisions.

Hi,

nRF5340-QKAA-AB0 is the Engineering A IC which is on the PDK (0.8.0). The DK currently has a Engineering D IC (nRF5340-QKAA-AD0), which is more or less identical to revision (nRF5340-QKAA-D00).

In principle all variants support Thread/Zigbee from a HW perspective, but the latest nRF Connect development tag and future releases will only support Engineering D and newer. So you should obtain a DK (not PDK), and for samples you should obtain Rev 1 samples (QKAA-D00).

I cannot comment on availability at distributors, but you can contact them or the Nordic sales representative in your region for information about that (please let me know in a PM if you do not know who that is, and I will give you their contact information).
