Thingy:91 - 1.4.0 - no USB serial output

Have a brand new Thingy 91, latest modem firmware and asset tracker firmware: thingy91_debug_ltem_2020-10-30_5522ca2b.hex.

But within the LTE monitor app, nothing shows up. When the device is plugged in, it shows as a "zephyr usb" drive. I have a 9160-DK and it works fine, so I know it's not the USB port/cable or anything like that. Maybe a bad device?

Hi,

Could you try to upgrade the firmware on the nRF52840 to the newest version of the connectivity bridge?

As you have a nRF9160DK, using that is the easiest way of programming the Thingy: https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ug_nc_programmer/UG/nrf_connect_programmer/ncp_pgm_thingy91_debugprobe.html

Remember to put the 'SWD Select' switch on the Thingy to the 'nRF52' position, and use the thingy91_nrf52_connectivity_bridge_<date>_<sha>.hex image in the img_app_bl folder.
