programming custom nRF52840 chip

Hi,

We are developing a system with nRF52840 chip and we have to feed the soft device (s140) hex file & our application hex file into custom board which we are developing. Actually, i don't have any idea on this. So, please let me know the procedure to program custom nRF52840 chip. kindly, do the needful.

Hi, you program the nRF52840 through the SWD bus. You need a debugger that supports the SWD interface. Preferably a JLink debugger. Or, if you have an nRF52 DK you can use the debug out header to program your custom board. You need to connect the debugger to the SWDIO and the SWDCLK pins on your custom board.

We have nRF52 DK and we will use this method to program our custom board. But,

Is that safer way to program our custom board for commercial usage through nRF52 DK?

Hi, It depends on your needs. The nRF52 DK is not designed to be a high volume production programmer.

Ya got it and is that any commercial license we should purchase for programming custom board for nRF52840 IC?
