Steps to be followed to flash an example code in SDK using keil IDE on nRF51822 module.

Hi,

I'am trying to program my nRF51822 module using keil IDE. I have taken some example code which is present in the SDK 12.3.0 and soft device-130.

Please let me know what are the steps I need to follow to program my nRF51822 module using keil IDE.

If you have SD case.

Step1) flash SD code ex:s130

Step2) compiler example code

Step3) flash Download or debug.....Done.

If you don't apply SD

Step1) compiler example code

Step2)  flash Download or debug.....Done.

But I remember that....There's no any example for 51822.

So that you have to modify thje project item to 51822 & arrange memory map again & compiler .Debug.

First , you may check your SD version. The flash ROM size is always fixed. For your example...Here

RAM should be try by your application. If the RAM size is not suitable. The debugger log will show that..

The module which I'am with me is nRF51822_xxAB and I'am trying to flash an example code which is taken from sdk 12.3.0/PCA10028/S130 using keil IDE.

Please do correct me if I'am wrong.

In the Image which you have shared in your previous replay is clearly showing that option for target nRF51822_xxaa . But in my case it is showing nrf51422_xxaa even after selecting the proper device.

Please tell me which sdk and soft device example code I need to flash on to my module.

Please give me the complete path details and memory adjustment which I supposed to do.

It would be really helpful if you give me complete steps which needs to be followed.

Any kinds of examples in SDK12.3.0 can be reference. Because almost the example is NRF51422. EX:\nRF5_SDK_12.3.0_d7731ad\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_uart (S130)

My project is just example. Because I use NRF51822AA in my project before.

It's a good start. But if your project is NRF52 above. I will re-command you SDK17.0.2. .(S140 or S132)

Because 51822ab memory mapping is almost the same with 51422ac except the ANT+ protocol. So it's very easy to change the device item ,and everything is the same.

There must be some procedure has to be followed right?

Changing memory address and other steps will be there right?

Because it is not direct loading of example by pressing the load icon.

please support me by giving step by step procedure to load the example.

Hi, 

Hennry is right. Are you able to build the Keil project under nRF5_SDK_12.3.0\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_template\pca10028\s130? You don't need to modify the setting. See this post and the Programming an application documentation. 

You also could try to use Nordic Semiconductor::nRF_DeviceFamilyPack V8.32.1 for this SDK 12.3.
