nRF5340 Technical consultation about NFC

1、Does Nordic 5340 support 1443a protocol;

2、When the chip(5340) is not powered, does NFC function support passive swiping card

3、Can the reading distance of NFC be more than 3cm

    1. The nRF5340 product specification states that the device is a compliant NFC-A listening device, meaning that it supports the 1443a protocol.

    2. The nRF5340 can only act as a tag, not a reader. Hence, it does not support swiping a card. As described in the NFCT specifications the device supports Wake-on-field, meaning it can detect and wake up when entering a NFC field. 

    3. I'm not sure on the exact maximum range and must check this internally. This is mostly depend on the reader of course.

    PS: The Holiday season is upon us, which will leave the Nordic support team understaffed until January 4th, 2021. This means that delayed replies will occur during this time. Sorry about the inconvenience and happy Holidays!
