programming firmware into N5 module

Dear Support,

we have done some technical question

About the N5 module of Dynastream (with nRF51422) we would like to program the software placed into the application, our application by the fixture of our supplier by jtag/swd interface of module n5

In particular, to do that, we do the following steps to program the board:

1. We erase all the flash by nRFGoStudio
2. We program the software device S310 (ant+ and ble) by nRFGoStudio
3. We program into the flash by nRFGoStudio, the boot loader

After, the application is downloaded by BLE because the board is in boot mode and in this way works.

But, if we would like to program the application by nRFGoStudio, it is possible but, the module N5 stay into the state of boot, avoiding to our application to run because boot mode setted into the N5.

Probably there is some location to write into the memory to switch from boot to application but we don’t know how.

Then could you help us to solve this wrong state for us.

If it's necessary we could attache our software.

I can recommend to merge app hex together with special hex (sets BANK_VALID_APP flag at BOOTLOADER_SETTINGS_ADDRESS in FLASH - typically 0x3FC00 for 256KB FLASH devices and clears CRC of bank 0):

APP_VALID-settings.hex

If app is present, it will run without necessity to perform OTA DFU. If not, device's (default) bootloader has predefined timeout to connect to host capable of providing app (or softdevice or bootloader).
