BLE connection issues

Hi, I have a project in which I need to connect to an infusion pump via BLE.

I need your urgent help :)

The pump is advertising every 15 minutes for 10 seconds.

how can I make sure that whenever the pump is sending information the phone will receive it?

even if the application is not in the foreground, most likely will not even run..

kind of like the FitBit or Garmin usages just with a custom BLE device with its own UART service and characteristics.

Hi Asaf

If the app is not running you need to run a service which will look for advertising devices, even when the app is closed. 

In later versions of Android this has to be a so called foreground service, which displays a notification in the notification bar to show the user that is is running.
