nRF52840 DK to nRF52811

Hello, 

I'm new here and I'm trying to program nRF52811 with direction finding AoA.

I notice that there is no code about it but there is steps to follow and that nRF52840 doesn't support the direction finding so my questions are:

Is it possible to program the nRF52811 SoC (in a costum board) connected to nRF52840 DK? Like connecting the pins RESET, VDD, CLK, ..., to the devkit and be able to program the SoC through the DK? Or should I buy a J-link prober to do that and the DK only emulates some examples of the SoC? 

Am I able to program nRF52840 using nRF connect to Desktop and toolchain?

PS: I'm not interested about the nRF52840 SoC, I believe I don't need it for what I plan to do

I notice that in page 32/32 of nRF52840  DK user guide says we can program/debug the target connecting it to P19 or P20, so I can connect the nRF52811 to the nRF52840 DK and program it, I don't need any J-Link probe, right?

Yes, that is correct. There is an on-board J-Link debugger on the nRF-DK, you don't need other j-link debuggers.

I'm using P20 pins, connecting VDD, SWDIO, SWDCLK, GND Detected and the RESET pins of the devkit to the corresponding ones in the nRF52811 but nRF connect (v3.6.1) programmer doesn't detect the nRF52811 only detects the nRF52840, is it suppose to or i'm missing something? :(

Do you provide 3.3v power supply to the nRF52811?

When you open J-Link Commander, you should see the tool detects VTref=3.300V.

I notice that i had to choose nRF52811 throught J-Link commander  It's working now
