Can nRF51822 read broadcasts or advertisements from other nRF51822?

Hello all,

Is it possible for a nRF51822 to read information from another peripheral Device using broadcasts or advertisments?

I have an application where I need to communicate both with a central device (iPhone) and from a peripheral devices to another, maximum 10 bytes is sufficient.

I'm new to Bluetooth, and need a place to start. Greatful for any help.
