Problems with nRF5 SDK

Hello,

I am using  nRF5_SDK_for_Thread_and_Zigbee_v4.1.0_32ce5f8.

1. While referring to the Nordic Semiconductor Infocenter. I observed that in  nRF5 SDK v16.0.0 there is one option for "Experimental: IoT Examples" under the "Bluetooth low energy examples".

But in nRF5 SDK v17.0.2, there is no such option for the "Experimental: IoT Examples" under the "Bluetooth low energy examples". 

So can you explain to me why it is deprecated in  nRF5 SDK v17.0.2?

2. I have import the thread and Zigbee project from  nRF5_SDK_for_Thread_and_Zigbee_v4.1.0_32ce5f8.

   But a local Nordic sales representative recommended that zephyr is a preferred way to develop moving forward.

  I don't see many of the projects in nRF5 under Zephyr (like multi-protocol). So, trying to understand what's Nordic's plans regarding moving (nRF52833/840) to Zephyr?

Should I continue with nRF5 or plan to move to Zephyr (if Nordic planning to or provide guidance for migrating nRF5 projects there)?

Please advise.

In general I would say that nRF5 SDK is maintained and supported, but for new features I would recommend to look at nRF Connect SDK: http://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/nrf/index.html There will be more and more examples for the nRF Connect SDK.
