Maximum number of slaves in nRF52840 with Bluetooth 5 and BLE

Hello,

I am working on a school project with my team that requires one master device and up to 30 slave devices which will be controlling LEDs. I was thinking the nRF52840 would work for this, however I am unable to find documentation on how many slave devices can be connected to a single master device on either Bluetooth 5 or BLE.

What's the maximum number of slave nRF52840 devices that can be connected to a single master nRF52840 device via Bluetooth 5 or BLE?

Looking at the softdevice release notes it appears to be 20 links

Support for 20 links in total with freely selectable role (Central/Peripheral) for each link (DRGN-7102, DRGN-7152, DRGN-7848).
