Hello we have developed a few products which have required (costly) RF/RFPHY testing. Is there a reference design that is qualified that can be used to avoid the RF/RFPHY testing. Thanks
Just a heads up on Bluetooth, as of Feb 1, 2014 (last year) the Bluetooth SIG charges an $8,000 USD listing fee even for previously qualified designs for every single product listing. So if you re-brand a heart rate monitor and a speed sensor and want to market both, you are looking at $16,000 USD just in listing fees.
I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but it is a major consideration while you search for even a qualified design.

Hi Wemme, We have done the qualification for RF-PHY ONLY for the DK. The desgin of DK would be very impractical to be used as products as they are desgined for development. All others modules are 3rd Party modules and they do their own qualification. Like Asbjorn mentioned, your have to use these 3rd Party modules (preferably FCC approved) if you do not change their RF-circuitry.
