How to choose the hfclk in xtal mode

when I read HFCLKSTAT  memory I get the value 1 00 00 which means the hfclk is running and use the RC sources so how can I change it to xtal sources.

If you are using the SoftDevice, then use the function sd_clock_hfclk_request()
