How are is the "boards" directory in ncs/nrf/ added to the available boards from zephyr/boards?

Hi Nordic-Support,

 I am trying to figure out how the boards in ncs/nrf (e.g. thingy91_nrf9160) are made available for applications. I cannot see how they are added to the boards available in ncs/zephyr/boards.

Could you please give me a hint?

The boards folder is included in this line: ncs/nrf/cmake/boilerplate.cmake L12.

How the board change after the project generation in NCS

for example i have selected nrf52DK and build the project with the selected DK board but now i want to change it to custom board and also i have created it. But the thing is how to include the custom board with already build code and how do i change the boards frequently as like in nRF5 SDK

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. You just need to change the board name when you are building the application to change boards.
