NRF52840 dongle as a coordinator for Zigbee2MQTT

Has anybody been able to configure the NRF52840 dongle as a co-ordinator and use the Zigbee2MQTT?  I think this will be a good product as it has the range when compared to CC2531 / 38 sticks. There have been customer PCBs that are designed but they are expensive comparatively.

It is possible to use the nRF52840 dongle as a coordinator, but I have not seen any Zigbee2MQTT port for the nRF. I don't think that is something that we (Nordic) have, but perhaps you can find something from some of the other users.

After a quick search on the web, I didn't find anything, but I only spent a couple of minutes.

Anyway, there is a CLI example in the SDK that works on the dongle. You can use this to select the role for the nRF52 Dongle, open and close the network, interact with the other nodes and so on.

Hi! Are there any updates on this? I see its been three years ;)

Am considering moving on to another transceiver. A bit worried that nrf52840 dongle is not officialy endorced  by zigbee2mqtt: www.zigbee2mqtt.io/.../
