S140 v8.0.0 for nrf52840?

Hello, when will the v8.0.0 version of the SD for the nrf52840 be available?  It seems to be listed in the SIG webpage, but not available for download on the nordic webpage.

Also, are SDs typically backwards compatible with earlier SDK versions?  Would I need to update to the v17 SDK if we are on say v15?

 This is not a public release, you need to talk to your local RSM to know more about it and not in this forum. I have notified the RSMs in your location to reach out to you.
