I found a fairly cheap (<$5) FCC certified NRF24 module with 20dBm output power. NiceRF RF2401F20 (https://www.nicerf.com//product_180_216.html)
The FCC ID is 2AD66-RF2401F20. It's FCC Equipment class is "DXT" "Part 15 Low Power Transceiver, Rx Verified"
I do not understand what "Part 15 Low Power Transceiver, Rx Verified" actually means and I cannot find an explanation online. Is this not full modular approval? It has metal shielding and the FCC number on the case. Would I need a "Class 1 Permissive Change" or "Class 2 Permissive change"? Or something else?
I'm trying to eliminate as many upfront costs as I can so I don't want to use a module that requires expensive and time consuming testing to comply with FCC regulations.
My ISP1807 module has an Equipment class of "Digital Transmission System" and I believe it has Full modular approval. I think it requires no testing whatsoever. I just need to follow these instructions
