ESB + BLE Communication

Hi, I am evaluating the use of ESB(without Ack) and BLE as a possible solution for my project since i have no use of Ack and in Gazell it is mandatory to use Ack. I had heard that there was a way to have both BLE and ESB running on a device at the same time, however I have not found a demo that does this or i am wrong about that ? ?

Is it possible to act as a ESB device without ack and advertise over BLE at the same time?

Is it possible to act as a ESB Host without ack and advertise over BLE at the same time?

  • @jayesh: Yes, it's possible. Our stacks provide timeslot API, that applicatino can request and have access to the radio when the stack is active. The stack will schedule and give the application a timeslot needed if there is no conflict with critical radio sessions.

You can read more about timeslot in the stack's product specification.

We currently don't have any example on ESB concurrently with BLE. However you can have a look at this example where we advertise (manually using direct access to radio) when remains in a BLE connection.
