nRF9160 Serial LTE Modem example triggers hard fault randomly

Hi.

We have nRF9160 DK using Serial LTE Modem as standalone modem for CAT-M1 connected with external nRF52 via UART2. We have setup the modem to establish connection to AWS IoT Core via MQTT. We have been testing the functionality of the modem and have been publishing to AWS IoT Core. During our experiments, the nRF9160 slm_lte_client application randomly restarted when we were running our application, e.g. after 10 MQTT Publish the nRF9160 resets itself. To see what caused this issue we debugged nRF9160 while running the full application.

During debug mode we saw that the hard fault was triggered on nRF9160 after few publish events, see picture below.

We have tried different methods by setting AT+CFUN=1 to keep the modem in active state, this is done through an interval of approx 5 secs to trigger active mode.

Please suggest anything that could help us fix this issue.

Would appreciate any help!

Best regards,
Hamza
