External GPS on Thingy91 v1.4

Hello, 

I noticed that you improved the hardware design in version 1.4. 
Is it still neccessary to use a bias tee for an external GPS?

Or can I just connect a active gps antenna to the thingy91?

If I buy a passive gps antenna do I need anything else ?
