If you take a 1K variable to a local variable, the AP will drop.

Static variables do not fall off.

I think it's a stack size issue, but how do I specify the stack size in prj.conf?

Also, where can I find the current stack size and stack start address?

To increase the stack size you can add the following to your prj.conf:

CONFIG_MAIN_STACK_SIZE=<desired stack size>

To see current stack size you can use the Zephyr thread analyzer module and to find stack start address you can read the rom_report by issuing the command: 

west build -t rom_report

after building. There is a known bug with the rom_report command that can be fixed by applying the patch attached in this thread.

By increased the stack size, it ran normally.

The stack size is started by examining the address of the local variable of the main function.
