Bonding fails against Huawei P20 lite, Android 9, BLE 4.2, works against a lot other phones, but not with this one

Hello,

we have a problem to do bonding to a Huawei P20 lite, which has Android 9 and seems to use BLE 4.2.

We use the nRF52832, with SD 17.2.0, using Bluetooth LE.

We have a lot other phones, but this special one seems to make problems.

Is there perhaps a known problem? I cannot say, if this special device has perhaps a hardware problem

and similar device would work.

Or has someone exactly this phone with this versions working?

I cannot even say the exact error, because it used by someone else,

but it was meanwhile tried out by multiple persons and seems to remain problematic.

(BTW: I use a Huawei P20 Pro, but with Android 10, and this seems to work).

Hi Marie, 

Please provide the debug log on the device,  nRF Connect log on the phone, and the sniffer log to help identify the issue.

Or maybe you could try to update Huawei P20 lite to Android 10.
