Which device to choose for setting up advertising?

Hi,

I have downloaded and installed nRF Connect for desktop - Bluetooth Low Energy. Now I want it to operate as a peripheral that can send connectable advertising packets. For this purpose only, which is the most suitable device to choose from the list of supported devices?

• PCA10056 nRF52840 Development Kit
• PCA10040 nRF52 Development Kit
• PCA10059 nRF52840 Dongle
• PCA10028 nRF51 Development Kit
• PCA10031 nRF51 Dongle

All the devices in the list can be used, but I would recommend using the nRF52-series.

The nRF52840 dongle:

The Dongle is the perfect target hardware for use with nRF Connect for Desktop as it is low-cost but still support all the short range wireless standards used with Nordic devices. The dongle has been designed to be used as a wireless HW device together with nRF Connect for Desktop.
