New Development with nRF9160

Hi,

We are starting a new development for an Ultra Low power product.

Thus, we found the nRF9160 as a good option with its ARM-M33 subprocessor. However, we have some doubts regarding consumption when using GPIO Interrupts. In our project we will have 12 pulse counting inputs and we intend to use GPIO Interrupts to acquire these frequency signals of a maximum of 5 Hz.

Checking some doubts from other users who are already developing, we identified that when using external interruptions, consumption increases considerably. Our target is a maximum consumption of 10 uA considering the lowest consumption mode,  capable of counting the frequency of the mentioned inputs counters. Of course, we are not considering these levels of consumption when performing other tasks such as communication. Communication task, will be executed at most 1 time per day, the rest of the time the nrf9160 will be in low power mode.

Will we be able to achieve this target with the nRF9160?
