Master Control Panel - support for DFU Init packet handling?

says, "Master Control Panel, Version 3.7.1 and earlier does not support DFU Init packet handling. This SDK contains an updated version of the ble_dfu.py python script, which works stand-alone or together with MCP, v3.7.1."

I have Master Control Panel, Version 3.8.0.7 - does it support DFU Init packet handling, or do I need to do the above-mentioned script update?

The changelog in the help file, MasterControlPanelHelp.chm, says, "Updated DFU to support latest version from nRF51 SDK" - but doesn't say what version that is, nor if it includes the DFU Init packet handling.

Hi Awneil,

Init packet handling is supported from MCP v3.8.x

If you use the latest MCP v3.9, it should support the bootloader on SDK v7.x. You can select either the .zip file or the .hex file when updating. If you select the .hex file, the init data will be generated automatically by MCP.

Are you saying that my MCP v3.8.0.7 does not support the bootloader on SDK v7.x ?

@awneil: No, both MCP3.8 and MCP 3.9 support bootloader on SDK v7.x .
