Modifying CoAP Client for a public IP address

Hi,

I understand that the CoAP Client sample is configured for a public URL (californium.eclipseprojects.io) in the Kconfig file. I wanted to ask, how the KConfig file should look like if I wanted to configure it for an IP address instead of a URL.

Hi!

You can just change out the hostname with the IP address you want to use, like this:

config COAP_SERVER_HOSTNAME
	string "CoAP server hostname"
#	default "californium.eclipse.org"
	default "198.41.30.194"
