Yeelight YLDP10YL lamp not seen in nRF Mesh mobile app

Hello!

I have installed Android nRF Mesh application version 3.0.3.

Also I bought Yeelight YLDP10YL lamp which is qualified mesh product ( https://www.bluetooth.com/learn-about-bluetooth/recent-enhancements/mesh/mesh-qualified/)

I cannot see YLDP10YL lamp in nRF Mesh app, but all nRF52 nodes are seen.

Smarphone is Honor 9x with the latest Android OS. BLE version on it  is 4.2

Anybody has successfull expirience to provisioning the Yeelight's mesh-lamps to bluetooth mesh network?

I plan to create mesh-network of nRF52-based nodes with buttons to control these mesh-lamps .

I want to do something such as described there https://www.novelbits.io/bluetooth-mesh-tutorial-part-7/

Is it possible to do above example with Yeelight's mesh-lamps?

Any help or ideas, please.

  • Hi,

I don't have any experience with the Yeelight's mesh-lamps but searching it up, accroding to the decription of the device on most pages:

Needs to be used with the gateway. The gateway assists the bluetooth mesh device to access the network.

I suspect that it doesn't support provisioning via GATT and you have to use their gateway to do the provisioning.
