Update OpenThread in nRF SDK

I'm trying to update the OpenThread Binary. How do I do this? Can I include OpenThread source code as opposed to binaries?

Yes, the latest NCS 1.5.0 adds support to build OpenThread from source code. You can refer to the document here Configuring Thread in nRF Connect SDK — nRF Connect SDK 1.5.99 documentation (nordicsemi.com)

I'm not using NCS. I'm using nRF5_SDK_for_Thread_and_Zigbee_v4.1.
