Looking for the documentation for the nRF52 dongle

Hi,

during my tests, I use an NRF52 Dongle with the nRF-Connect app as a USB/BLE interface, but now I need to handle some custom data. I have seen that the dongle uses a COM-Port with a baud rate of 1000000 to communicate with the Bluetooth Low Energy app from the nRF Connect app. Does Nordic provide some documentation about the default BLE firmware for the dongle, so I can create my own app to communicate with this dongle?

Is there no documentation for the protocol used by default firmware which is used by the BLE app? I want to use this default firmware with my custom application.

Revert to production bootloader

If you have erased the bootloader from SWD, it has to be programmed again before you can go back to programming the nRF52840 Dongle via USB DFU. Use the attached hex file (pca10059_bootloader.zip), which contains the MBR and Open bootloader with the correct public key. You can also use the Open bootloader example project from the SDK, but it does not include public key needed to update the bootloader itself over USB DFU.
