nrf5340 dk

Bought 2 nRF5340 DK kits from Mouser.  Followed the setup instructions and fell at the first hurdle. Attached NF antenna, connected to USB and switched on.

Nothing. Green LED came on near the PCA10095 chip but no pulsing LED 1 or any other. Have wasted 4 days searching the documentation and internet to try to find a solution and found nothing of any use at all. So - either I have two defective boards or (more likely) am doing something wrong. Either case is not confidence inspiring - why should I struggle with this when I can develop on my other option from ST which works - even if it is more difficult to set up.

Where do I find anything vaguely useful in resolving the issue of not even being able to get the board connectin wo Windows 10 - complete wate of my time and very disappointing

Welcome to DevZone. Sorry to hear you are having this experience even before getting started. Hopefully we will figure this out together.

Have you tried setting SW9 to "VDD". This is the default setting. I took out an unused DK (HW v0.10.0) and tested that VDD works. If I switch over to "USB", then the demo does not work. However, there is a faint/flickering light in the LED next to the IC with the chip with the PCA10095 sticker. I understand that one may select "USB" when connecting the DK to USB, however, it do not think this is the case. The DK has a sophisticated and highly configurable power solution that allows for a broad range of use cases.

Which HW version of the nRF5340 DK are you using? The version number is shown below "PCA10095" on the white sticker.

Also, at this stage, you probably would want to connect the DK to your computer using micro USB connector J2, which is on the short side of the DK.
