AWS credentials page for Asset Tracker Cloud Example for AWS mentions sub-accounts.

Provide your AWS credentials page for Asset Tracker Cloud Example for AWS mentions sub-accounts. There is absolutely no such thing as a sub-account in AWS. The page is totally misleading. A complete new account is to be created with a new email address. This is totally totally non-obvious for someone with an existing AWS account. AWS does not use the terminology of "sub-account" so it is impossible to reference in their documentation, regardless of the idea in the mind of the author of the NS documentation. Please fix. AWS is very complicated stuff, and misleading documentation does not help that.

  • Hi, Burt!

Thanks for reporting this. The terminology is indeed not consistent with AWS and we will update the documentation to reflect that. On the topic of new account->new email a coworker made me aware that for some emails can use "+" in the mail address and it will still point to the original address: like this <some_name>+<originial_email>@mail.com. That way you can avoid creating a lot of new addresses.

Please reach out if you face any other issues.

    Best regards,
