Thingy91 is not connecting with nrf cloud

I am from India. Recently I have purchased Thingy91. I have registered IBasis SIM as mentioned in the user guide. While registering the device in the nrf cloud I am facing the error as

"There was an error adding your device: No device found for this id. The device has not yet been provisioned. Troubleshoot nRF Code 40412".

Please note I did not upload any firmware in thingy91. Just have switched ON the device after inserting the SIM and trying to register the device in nrf cloud.

I have double checked the IMEI and PIN values are correct. Green, pink and Purple color LEDs are blinking. Please help.

  • Yes Marte, I have checked by inserting my Idea 4G sim. I am not able to register in nrf cloud .

    Please note I am using the Thingy91 as it is delivered from factory, I did not upload any firmware, assuming assert tracker firmware is already installed.  Please help

  • Hi,

    Your device must be connected to the network and trying to connect to nRF Cloud in order for you to be able to register it in your nRF Cloud account. You cannot register a device that is not in the process of connecting to nRF Cloud. Since you do not have LTE-M or NB-IoT coverage in your area, you will not be able to connect to the network, and therefore you will not be able to connect and add your Thingy:91 to nRF Cloud.
