how to get ulink2 to run app after flashing?

Hello

Until recently I have been using a JLink EDU to program and test nRF51xx devices from Keil 5.14.

I recently bought a Ulink2 and would like to do the same but have noticed that after programming it will not run the application without cycling power to the device.

Under debug options I have set the debug reset option to SYSRESETREQ which I assume is what the JLink does. Is there any other setting I should be looking at?

Erase Done. Programming Done. Verify OK. Application running ... (but it does not run until I cycle power)

Type ULINK2 into the search box and you'll see a number of previous threads about this some of which include some suggestions as to how you can try to use ULINK2. It's not very supported, it requires some configuration and there are things you can't do with it, like write to UICR. Better off to keep using the JLink if you can, which is what's really supported.

I've seen the various threads about inability to program UICR but not really concerned with this at the moment. In fact I got the ULINK2 programming S110 and program as per answer in this thread devzone.nordicsemi.com/.../ The problem remains of getting the programmer to run the device after programming. At the moment the options are to reconnect USB cable (where I get power) or to enter + exit debugger, both of which are cumbersome and surely not necessary..
