Thanks, engineer .recently Our equipment is certified. The ESD Voltage is over 6kV。BUT the 52832 ESD HBM is 4KV .Is there any advice to us? thanks!

Hi,
I am not sure i understand the question completely.
recently Our equipment is certified
What does this refer to?
The ESD Voltage is over 6kV
Is this what you measure or experience on your equipment?

Jonathan
HI Jonathan ,thanks for your reply. Our product is medical instruments.so we should do the EMC tests. One of the tests is 8Kv ESD electrostatic protection standard. But I read the datasheet of nRF52832, the Max voltage is 4Kv. So i want to know How to solve the 8Kv ESD test. what should we do to protect the IC 52832....In addition, I would like to know what damage will be caused to 52832 if the ESD voltage exceeds 4Kv. Thanks.

Hi,
To protect the nrf52840 you will have to use diodes on all the GPIO's, switches and buttons or any other interface and from the power supply that are excisable from the outside. So you need to ad protection circuitry to protect against ESD higher then 4Kv
