How can I program my thingy:91 with the Jtag without loosing MCUboot?

I want to program my Thingy 91 with one of the sample projects. In the programmer App it says the project is invalid for MCUboot DFU, but only when using the Jtag connection. How can I fix that? And how Can I make sure, the sample projects don't mess up the COM-Ports and MCUboot functionality?

Hello,

basically you have to build your sample projects with DFU support adding a bootloader. To do so, you can follow this guide:

Regarding the COM-ports, you do not have to worry about messing them up. This is configured on the nRF52840 of the Thingy:91. Just make sure that the SWD selection switch (SW2) is set to nRF91 and you should be fine.
