How to use Proxy service to transmit data from un-support mesh device?

Hi again,

This is my project:

I have 3 nrf52832 kit and a Android phone. I want use my phone to control leds on those 3 boards. Because the phone dont support mesh, so I use one KIT as gateway (work as Proxy node) to send data from phone to mesh network.

1. Any suggests how can I do this?

2. I cant see any examples to use a node as proxy to send data to mesh.

Hi,

Most of our examples from the Mesh SDK supports the proxy feature and PB-GATT provisioning. You can see which examples that supports PB-GATT and proxy in this list: Provisioning bearers in the nRF5 SDK for Mesh examples. To be able to provision/connect to the proxy node, you will need to use an app on the mobile phone. You can use our nRF Mesh app (Android/iOS) to provision and control the nodes using the proxy feature.

Yead, I've done what you suggest.

But I dont't want to use generic on_off server model to control the light, because I have to access each device and turn it on/of.

What I expect: Use 1 node as a gateway, the phone send message to only this gateway node, and the gateway node's role is to send this message to all the node in the mesh.

You can use a group address to control all the boards at the same time. Just have all your nodes be subscribed to a group address and then have the phone publish to this address.
