Vdd supply voltage

Hello Nordic Team;

The Vdd value range for the nRF9160 is 3.00 V to 5.5 V. We will use li-PO battery in our system. Can I power the nRF9160 directly from the battery without using a regulator? (Li-PO voltage range: 3.00 V- 4.2 V)

Hi Irem,

you could use a battery directly for VDD, but VDD and VDD_GPIO has different min. and max. voltage: Operation conditions

So you would need a regulator for VDD_GPIO.
