Can't connect to hm-10 module

I'm really new to this kind of electronics and couldn't find any solutions with my level of knowledge.

This is what I'm specifically using: digistump.com/.../115

I've used an FTDI module to change the AT-MODE to 1

Whenever I try and connect (using the android app) to the module I get 'Device doesn't support UART. Disconnecting.'. It may be as simple as the lack of support, but the chip has the UART RX and TX pins connected so I'm under the impression that it does.

I really have no idea where to go and help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

  • @PolygonHJ: Which firmware did you flash to the module ? You should follow the instruction in the module's wiki page.

The nRFUART app was made to be compatible with device running with NUS service. If your module doesn't have the NUS service the error " 'Device doesn't support UART. Disconnecting." will be asserted.

To get started I also suggest you to get hold of our nRF51 DK. We have examples and tutorial that should be able to help you to start. Check out our tutorial page.
