nRF52840 Unsupported device. The detected device could not be recognized as neither JLink device nor Nordic USB device.

I am using nRF connect v3.6.1 but the following error occur when i open the device in nrfconnect as follows:

Error :Unsupported device. The detected device could not be recognized as neither JLink device nor Nordic USB device.

I am using nRF52833 development kit  with PCA10100 as it is compatible with nRF52840  so i try on my pc but following above error occurs .

Please suggest me how to solve it.

When you plug in your device and turn the power switch on, do the 3 JLink COM-ports show up in your Device Manager (see picture below)?

Correction: 1 JLink COM-port. 3 ports are supposed to appear for the nRF9160 DK. Sorry for the confusion!
