[NRF5340] UARTE speed up to 3Mbps (max)

In our application the prospective Nordic NRF5340 MCU is to communicate with another MCU at the maximum 3Mbps.

• Can this speed (3Mbps) be achieved on NRF5340?
• As mentioned in datasheet 7.38.10.1 UARTE electrical specification sub-note30
  • What is the maximum baud rate with the GPIO in high drive setting?
  • When mean GPIO in high drive its drive H0H1 right and not EH0EH1 or other?

Hi Syed

Maximum speed for the UARTE is 1 Mbps. You have to use SPI for higher speeds https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/ps_nrf5340/spim.html#unique_1244825778

High speed clocks needs the GPIO to be set in high drive in order to toggle fast enough.
