How to read the values for heart rate, battery services from the nRF Connect app?

I tried out a ble_app_hrs_freertos_pca10056_s140.emProject and was able to compile but a couple of questions:

- how is heart rate info calculated? where's the sensor even? (sorry for the dumb question but out of curiosity)

- It states here in step 3 that you would be able to read the values for heart, battery services by clicking the Play button, but in the nRF Connect iOS app, I don't see a Play button really. I see services under Advertised Services section where the UUID is shown for each of them but I can't do anything with them

The sensor sim is a simulator. So this does not give the actual. See Sensor Data Simulator.

The button looks like this . If you press the buttome as the left figure, you will see the Heart Rate notifications are received as the right figure.

That's what I see on my side. I see advertised services but there's no way for me to "read" something

Please refresh the device cache as the figure.

Please note that I'm using an iOS app and I can't seem to find Refresh device cache option

Can you try turning the bluetooth on your phone off and back on again? See if that helps.

Your answers aren't helping me anymore. I have already tried that and that doesn't help. What you're seeing on your app is not seen by me is a concern that I'm trying to get around.
Please try being more elaborative.
