devices not listed on PDK for opening

Hi,

I have nrf52840 DK and PCA63511 Power Profiler

It worked on WIndows 7 nRFConnect 3.3

I have recently updated to Windows 10. I reinstalled SDK of nRF52. But PDK device is plugged through USB cable, on Power Profiler (nRF COnnect v3.6.1 )  doesn't list the device to open for measurements:

Any thing I missed?

Hi,

I connected PDK PCA63511 Power Profiler with nrf52840 DK board on Linux PC. (This Linux PC worked 6 month ago. I didn't reinstalled tools, the PPK board and 52840 DK board are also the same boards used before). It has originally installed  nRF3.3.1. But it doesn't, either. The error I got: 

  VERBOSE could not fetch serial number for serial port at /dev/ttys0. ( through all ttySxx ports)

On PDK board, LED2 is lit green when USB is plugged into PC ( for both Linux PC and Windows 10 PC)

Is this a bed Power Profiler Board?

Hi David, 

When opening the Power Profiler app, what do you get when clicking on "Select Devce"? You should see the nRF52840 DK.

On the PPK, what settings are you using?

Hi Oyvind,

When I clicked Select Device, the window switch to :

It doesn't find any devices.

The Settings on the PPK:

SW2: (UP on DK )

No Jumper on "External DUT"

micro USB connected to PC

SW4: (UP on DK )

Not Connected to "External Supply"

         COM : selected DK

On nRF52840 DK Board:

       SB40 cut , no jumper on nRF current measurement

       Power Switch ON

       SW6 : on Default

      nRF Power Source On VDD ( Middle Position)

As I said, I tries on my Linux PC, which has nRFConnect v3.3.0. I used almot one year ago and worked all the time. But now, it is also not working.

David, thank you for providing the information. When you connect the nRF52840 DK to your computer, does it show in the list?

Yes. With jumper on (because SB40 is cut for measurements) . nRF52840 DK, I can download firmware, it runs ok.
