nRF5340 - Cannot detect board and first heartbeat LED.

Hello,

I have recently received nrf5340 development kit. 

To get my very first stamps of programming given precompiled image peripheral heart rate, I 

1. Connected board via micro USB and turned Power switch to ON position.

2. I can see LED5 besides mcu interface board blinking. No other LEDs are blinking.

3. SW6 is in DEFAULT position. SW9 is USB power source position. SW10 is in OFF position. 

4 I downloaded nrf connect for desktop and nrf programmer tool, but I cannot see the device. icon stays gray with no device.

5. I have also downloaded jlink software and documentation pack but no luck.

How can I get nrf programmer to detect my device, please?  I have tried both windows and mac machine. It looks like the USB port is not being detected.

Hi Maulik,

SW9 is USB power source position.

The nRF power source switch (SW9) must be in the VDD position.

Please let me know this helps the issue or not. Thanks.

When DK get the power from the nRF5340 USB connector (J3).
