Controlling of nRF SDK leds from Raspberry pi 3 B model using bluetrooth

Hi,

I want to control leds of nrf 52840 board through raspberry pi 3 B model uisng python. 

I used interactive pyaci example for provisioning nrf sdk board, but it requires to use one sdk to be connected uisng USB with raspberry pi.

I also used nrf connect low energy application for desktop, but again needing sdk to be connected using USB.

But if I directly want to connect and control the nRF leds from Raspberry Pi 3 B using python without support of any other SDK or nrf connect application.

Is it possible? If yes, then plz suggest the way.

Hi,

I'd suggest you try the Bleak package (https://github.com/hbldh/bleak) if you want to control the LED over a regular BLE connection. I have used for some basic testing before and I found it to be quite intuitive in use. Though I'm not sure if it has "production quality".

1. Which nRF code can be used with bleak?

2. Does any changes required in nRF configuration and coding?

Hi Nitish,

Bleak uses the native Bluez stack, and I would expect it to work with the built-in BT chipset.
