NRF52850 dongle zigbee examples

Hi,

I am trying to run nrf zigbee light bulb sample provided in the nrf SDK on the NRF52850 usb dongle.

I have sucessfully built "blinky" app sample with NRF Connect SDK 1.5.1 and flashed it to usb dongle sucessfully with Programmer app.

Zigbee light bulb example with target nrf52840dongle_nrf52840 builds sucessfully in Segger studio, but Programmer refuses to flash built HEX file.

No error is displayed at all only write button is grayed out, so I am out of ideas how to proceed.

What is missing in the zigbee example so it can't be flashed?

Hi,

Unfortunately, the light bulb sample in NCS is not officially supported on the nRF52840 Dongle as of now, so we cannot guarantee that it will work. You can see supported boards in the Requirements part of the sample's documentation. So far, the support for the dongle is limited in NCS. There might be support added at a later time, but I do not know when that might be.

If you want to test out other samples in NCS on the Dongle, or see how they are implemented, the following are supported on the dongle:

• Zigbee: NCP
• nRF Desktop
• Bluetooth: Central Heart Rate Monitor with Coded PHY
• Bluetooth: Peripheral Heart Rate Monitor with Coded PHY
• Bluetooth: Peripheral LBS
