NRF5340 PDK BLINK

Hi

I am a new person for nrf5340, I got the NRF5340 PDK. I unbox and check that four buttons. It works fine. Then I compile the blinky code and upload it to the board using embedded segger. The led blink is not happening

I need to know what's happening in that or the proper procedure to proceed on PDK

Hi Navin,

The nRF5340 PDK (Preview DK) is deprecated and not supported in NCS 1.5.0 or later. The latest release with support for the PDK was 1.4.0.

Thanks for your response, I will install NCS 1.4.0 and try

one more thing I need to know. Our Customized designs are made with nrf5340. Can I program the Customize board using NRF5340 PDK ? or that also needs any external supports

Hi Navin,

Yes, you can program your custom board using the nrF5340 PDK. Note that you should obtain a proper DK (with the revision 1 IC) for any real development. Also, you should not use NCS 1.4.0 with the nRF5340 for production.

thank you so much, That is the version issue only, after install the NCS v1.4.0 I can able to work  

can you please tell me how to get started with NCS and Nrf5340 for I2C protocol

HI Navin,

You really should obtain a DK and use the latest NCS if you are developing to make an end product, and not just for fun. Also NCS While NCS 1.4.0 is the latest with support for the PDK it is not suited for production with the nrF5340.

Regarding I2C you can for instance refer to the samples under zephyr\samples\sensor\, many of which are I2C.

for learning purposes, we have use PDK. For production, we will procure Dk.
