Ble_app_uart logged error info:" 0>

Hi guys:

  I flashed the ble_app_uart(SDK-location\nRF5_SDK_15.0.0_a53641a\nRF5_SDK_15.0.0_a53641a\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_uart.),

  When I pressed button1, there logged a error info "0> <error> app: Fatal error" in J-Link RTT Viewer but uart  not printed. It's only appeared in J-Link RTT Viewer, It's normal? Thank you.

Hi, 

If you build ble_app_uart with the debug mode, you can get the log that indicates the error 8198 returned by sd_power_system_off(). 

The chip will enter Emulated System OFF mode if it is in debug interface mode, and in that case, immediately return from the sd_power_system_off() call instead of entering sleep. So you need to make sure the debug interface is disabled to properly test System OFF mode on your device.

Thanks for your prompt response.

I just compiled and flashed the ble_app_uart to the soc. The program rum normally, without in debug mode.

Hi, 

Disconnect the RTT connection to leave the debug mode. Press button1 to make the DK sleep, the LED 1 doesn't blink. Press button1 again to wake up the DK, LED  LED 1 is blinking (Advertising mode) again.

Because my J-Link RTT Viewer connected to the DK board, So I can alway get the error info by pressed button1?  If so, can i ignore this error info?

Yes, the reason as I explained in the previous reply. You can ignore it if you connect the debugger and enter the emulated System OFF mode
